LOS ANGELES, CA- American Horrors CEO and An American Horror Story author, Hart D. Fisher, has announced that his 24 hour UNCUT horror channel, American Horrors will launch at noon Pacific Time on Sunday October 2nd as part of FilmOn's basic tier of channels.
"Adding American Horrors to our worldwide FilmOn platform will satisfy the horror fan who's looking for more entertainment, more depth, more edge in their favorite genre," said FilmOn's Chairman and CEO, Alki David, "and we are pleased to add fear in the mix of this new digital age of entertainment."

About American Horrors:
Headed by The Scariest Man in America, Hart D. Fisher, American Horrors is a multi-faceted genre specific horror entertainment company that will be launching it's new 24 hour horror TV channel on the FilmOn platform. Mr. Fisher is the writer director of the feature film, The Garbage Man, and the author of Poems for the Dead, Still Dead and the much maligned Jeffrey Dahmer biography comic books. Mr. Fisher has been featured on Larry King Live, CNN Headline News, Entertainment Tonight, within the pages of Time Magazine, People Magazine, The A to Z Guide to Serial Killers and most recently as a guest of the SXSW Film Festival.
HART D. FISHER: THE SCARIEST MAN IN AMERICA…
“Even surrounded by coffins, bats, a life-sized Frankenstein statue and legendary fright-meister artist Bernie Wrightson, Fisher's the scariest thing in the room." -Wizard Magazine: The Guide To Comics
There is precious little that outlaw filmmaker Hart D. Fisher hasn't accomplished.
He is a successful horror author, a critically acclaimed poet (Poems for the Dead), a gifted filmmaker with a knack for doing the impossible (producing & editing the critically acclaimed Flowers on the Razorwire feature film with a blind director), a cutting edge music video director who has worked with international death metal legends Obituary, kings of black metal Dark Funeral and metal superstar Glenn Danzig. Most recently Mr. Fisher was a guest of the 2011 South by Southwest as a featured panel speaker for the Reel Murder: From Crime Scene to Big Screen panel with multi-platinum selling musician Phil Anselmo, Ami Canaan Mann, Steve Mims, and best selling true crime author Corey Mitchell.
“The Garbage Man is an intelligent horror-drama that is well worth blowing chunks over, this is one audacious bastard of a serial killer”-Rue Morgue Magazine
Not satisfied with that, Mr. Fisher has committed himself to conquering the horror industry with his new multi-platform horror entertainment company, American Horrors. In May 2011, Mr. Fisher entered into a worldwide licensing agreement with FilmOn to launch American Horrors as a new uncut 24 hour horror television channel as part of FilmOn's basic tier of channels.
“If comics have a pantheon of saints with Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Alan Moore, Denny O'Neill, and the like on one end, then Hart Fisher is the Devil.” -The No Fly Zone/Mania.com
With a long and controversial career which began in comic books, where Fisher discovered such talents as Gerard Way (lead singer for the chart-topping rock band My Chemical Romance); John Cassaday (Captain America) and political essayist Stephen Elliott (a regular contributor for the San Francisco Chronicle, award-winning novelist and child protection advocate) among others, Fisher has carved out a fierce reputation and was dubbed 'The Most Dangerous Man in Comics.' (Hero Illustrated, 1994.) First put on the map by writing and publishing the infamous Jeffrey Dahmer comic book series, Mr. Fisher went on to write and publish books that would garner the young creator the ire of Milwaukee Brewing with the Jeffrey Dahmer: Milwaukee's Best t-shirts, the fear of Image Comics founders Todd McFarlane, Rob Liefield, and Jim Lee with the release of Kill Image and even a lawsuit from OJ Simpson over the Doin' Time With OJ and OJ's Big Bust Out books.
“Hart is one of the most controversial figures ever in the medium.” -www.herorealm.com
Fisher's opinions on serial killers and serial killer culture have been sought by numerous television producers for programs such as ABC's Day1, CNN's Murder By Numbers documentary, Entertainment Tonight, Larry King Live, The Jerry Springer Show, The Bertice Berry Show, CNN Headline News, A&E's Biography, American Scary, American Justice, on the radio with Crime Prevention 101 and True Crimes and in magazines such as Time, Tattoo Savage, Hero Illustrated, People, The Comics Journal, the non-fiction best seller The A-Z Guide to Serial Killers and many more.
“His story is one of the most unique in American comics publishing history.” - Optimumwound.com
Fisher began his art career as the publisher behind Boneyard Press, a ferociously independent publishing house that has garnered coverage all over the world, in Japan (Words), Germany (Ego Magazine), England (The Sun) and brought the mass media (as well as protest marchers) to his door thanks to books such as Jeffrey Dahmer: An Unauthorized Biography of a Serial Killer, Rush Limbaugh Must Die, Dark Angel, Kill Marvel and Jeffrey Dahmer vs. Jesus Christ. Fisher's two collections of poetry (Poems for the Dead & Still Dead) were both carried in the Hot Topic chain of boutiques.
“I've always said that poetry was for people who weren't hard enough to write prose, and most of it makes me throw it against a wall, but Poems for the Dead kicked my guts out.” -Warren Ellis/Red
Twice, Hero Illustrated placed Mr. Fisher in their 100 Most Important People In The Comics Industry list, and rock star Glenn Danzig hired Fisher to be the managing editor for his publishing company, Verotik, which Mr. Fisher promptly steered to the height of its popularity and controversy, when Mr. Fisher and co-author Christian Moore's story for Verotika #4, "A Taste of Cherry" was banned in Oklahoma on the grounds that it was obscene material and is banned in that state to this day. Never one to shy away from outrageous showmanship, Fisher has faked his own death for April Fool's Day (he was dead for a week before the hoax was uncovered by a pairing of The Comics Journal and The Comic's Buyers Guide), spit in the eye of industry goliath Marvel Comics (at the San Diego ComiCon Fisher printed up hundreds of black t-shirts proclaiming that "Marvel Can Suck My Cock”-- The shirts sold out instantly and dogged the larger comics publisher at comics conventions for years after going onto be declared the most controversial t-shirt in comics history) and has proven he has a gift for stirring up controversy that sells his products by the truckload.
"Hart has proven he has talent and there is a market out there for queasy, uneasy, in-yo'-face, material.” -Tattoo Savage Magazine
Mr. Fisher has been a paid feature speaker around the world (including a headlining role at the Festival of Fantasy & Terror in Mexico City, sharing a building with the President of Mexico at the time, Vincente Fox), and has spoken publicly about American poetry, team building, leadership development, and all things horror. Mr. Fisher is currently the subject of a new documentary, The Scariest Man in America, and his first feature film, The Garbage Man is available on DVD and Netflix.
You can see more of Mr. Fisher's news clips, music videos and more on his Youtube channel that has received more than Half a Million Plays and counting at http://www.youtube.com/crimepayshart.
WHAT THE PROFESSIONALS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT MR. FISHER AND HIS WORK:
"As we build and brand our thematic channels we are very careful about the companies we allow to program content in the streams. Hart D. Fisher presents very unique products that are naturals for compelling content and shows. We look forward to a long and prosperous association as we market the channels around the world." -Carol Davis/Executive/Global Broadcasting & Syndication, Inc.
“This is exactly the kind of programming this distribution network is designed to highlight - unique, interesting and very Americana. We are proud to have the American Horrors content on our channels.” -Music Media Founder/Henk Van Meer
“…poetry is a tough medium to work with, the most subjective perhaps of all the arts. Fisher's poetry does not transcend that but rather shouts and writhes from its own corner of a sad bleak world. people that have never seen the dark side of the zero may not relate but if you read poetry hoping to understand, if you like words chisled like an expensive sculpture stolen from a hidden museum, then this book will get in your bones and stay there.” -Stephen Elliott/The Adderall Diaries
“Hart Fisher has the talent to put more power in a single sentence than other authors can put in a whole chapter… His writing is so intense one can visualize, feel, smell and taste it.” -Manoush Marcia V/La Petite Mort
Be excited, boys and grrls. Be very excited.
Bloody Best!

Top Horror Films from Vancouver Talent to enjoy this Halloween
Halloween is, bar none, the best time of year.
Folks hand out candy, you can dress up and literally be anyone you want to be, villain or hero(ine), and horror movies galore can be found on TV and usually out on the silver screen in celebration. No need to buy presents for anyone. No big, complicated meals to cook. Just grab a knife, gut and carve a pumpkin, throw on some dashing duds, and you're ready to rock.
Trick or Treating will always have a warm place in my heart, but eventually you have to give it up as a new generation takes over the neighborhood candy routes. The best thing to do on Halloween? Well, unless you really have your heart set on heading out to the clubs, blowing a bunch of cash you don't really have to spend, and getting beer spilled all over the costume you spent weeks perfecting, it's a no brainer. There's nothing better than staying in, party optional, and taking in a legion of horror movies.
And if you hail from beautiful Vancouver, one of the absolutely most gore~geous cities in the world, why not take in a few horrors that were made in our city and with our talent? After all, Vancouver's a lot more than just a pretty face.
Van City Buzz (vancitybuzz.com) has you covered with a plethora of Vancouver horror delicacies. And not just our much loved, DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK (which does make for a delicious Halloween appetizer).
Check out their wicked awesome list and enjoy some truly fucking cool films. A personal favorite on the list? SLITHER. Not just because it was shot here with some wicked awesome local talent. Not just because it stars Joss Whedon favorite Nathan Fillion in a pitch perfect casting. Because of the effects. Yes, the effects in this bad boy are nothing short of outstanding. It's so good to see real, honest to badness prosthetic effects in a film that really wouldn't have been the same with a multitude of over saturated CGI effects (*cough, cough* I'm looking at you, Hulk....). And the masters behind the creatures of this feature? None other than the geniuses at MastersFX. I couldn't be bigger fans of their spectacular work.
So, cozy up to some nasty beasties and nightmares this Halloween. Check out the FULL ARTICLE and LIST right here and plan to have a wicked awesome Halloween.

Introducing Shades and Kold Blood, Vampiric Badasses based on the Twisted Twins!
The Unforgivable will be invading comic books stores 4-4-12 ... Prepare for HELL!
New artist Bryce Smith signed to Brainmachine Comix to take over the Horror series The Unforgivable. Starting with The Unforgivable #4 Necrowpolis you will see the dynamic new team unleash the next installment from the Brainmachine Comix Universe.
I am a comic nerd. I am a horror nerd. I have a crush on BloodRayne and have dreamed of what it would be like to be the super seductive, mass murdering queen of blood and gore. The same feelings belong to Jen as well, so you can imagine our pure nerd joy when the CEO of Brainmacine Comix approached us to base two badass Vampire twins on Jen and me for their graphic novel The Unforgivable. Yes, was the only response.
Jen is Shades Blood.
Shades have the power of shadows and the ability to control darkness and the Midnight Sun
I am Kold Blood.
Kold Blood has the power to transform blood into weapons.
Above is the first image and I cannot fucking wait for the comic. Cannot. Fucking. Wait. April can't get here soon enough. Now, I gotta get me some plastic red duds and black ones for Jen to wear to the Comic Cons.
Please check this out. They are doing a fucking phenomenal job and getting our input on making these Vamps very Twisted like the twins ourselves! More to come.

Twisted Twins at the Toronto International Film Festival
The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is a publicly-attended film festival held each September in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Founded in 1976, the TIFF is now one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. In 1998, Variety magazine acknowledged that "the Festival is second only to Cannes in terms of high-profile pics, stars and market activity." In 2007, Time noted that the festival had "grown from its place as the most influential fall film festival to the most influential film festival, period." This is partially the result of the festival's reputation and ability to generate "Oscar-buzz".
Further, many Hollywood studios premiere their films at TIFF due to the festival's easy-going non-competitive nature, relatively inexpensive costs (when compared to European festivals), eager film-fluent audiences and convenient timing. Notable films to have had their world or North American premiere at TIFF include Chariots of Fire, The Big Chill, Husbands and Wives, Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould, Downfall, Sideways, and Crash.
In recent years, films such as American Beauty, Ray, The Wrestler, Antichrist, Up In The Air, 127 Hours, Black Swan, and I Am Love premiered at the festival, garnering much favourable attention and press. Jamie Foxx's portrayal of Ray Charles ultimately won him the Academy Award for Best Actor while Slumdog Millionaire went on to win eight Oscars at the 2009 Academy Awards. Precious, which won the 2009 People's Choice Award at the festival, went on to win two Oscars at the 82nd Academy Awards while The King's Speech, the winner of the 2010 People's Choice Award at the festival, won four Oscars at the 83rd Academy Awards.
The 36th Toronto International Film Festival occured this year from September 8th to September 18th.
Last week, our team at Industry Works - the guys and gals who put our first feature DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK out to the world and are the team behind upcoming AMERICAN MARY - gave us a wonderful opportunity by flying us out to this year's Toronto International Film Festival to promote both projects. Next year, we plan to return with AMERICAN MARY and from what we saw of the city, the event, and the people - we really can't wait to come back!
We arrived on the 14th, and on the 15th we were on The Ghost Show. Now, I'm not sure if you know the show, if not allow me to be the one to introduce you to one of my favorite horror personalities on the scene today. With horrorific puns like 'fangtastic' and the ever important 'howl are you?' with horror host is a throw back to the classic horror shows of yesterday where the people who truly loved the genre were the ones hosting everything good and so bad it's good from the genre.
Our segment was shot at the Toronto Underground Cinema which is like walking into a holy place of all things awesome in cinema. The posters that cover the walls, the utter fucking coolness of the staff, and the joint puts on some of the best screenings ever. The night of the 14th they were giving the director's cut of MIMIC its Canadian Premiere with Guillermo del Toro in attendance. Huge thanks to Charlie Lawton who let us film in the epic venue and gave me the thrill of a lifetime - our first viewing of the AMERICAN MARY teaser on the big screen. More details to come along with the Ghost Show - I hope that you dig it!
The next day had us sitting across from two people we have a huge amount of respect for as they are total badasses in their fields. It was a sushi lunch with Jovanka Vuckovic and Todd Brown. It was also the coolest four hours of my life. For those of you that might not know - seriously for shame - allow me to introduce you to these fine folks.
Todd Brown lives and breathes film. He's the founder and editor of Twitch - www.twitchfilm.com - and what Twitch specializes is spreading the news about strange and interesting flicks from around the world. He also a festival programmer for Fantastic Fest, Fantasia Fest, and Canadian Music week, which means two things: He knows his films and he works 24/7. Naturally, he has some of the best film stories ever.
Jovanka Vuckovic is who I like to refer to as the Canadian First Lady of Horror as she is the former editor in chief of Rue-Morgue who knocked it out of the park and brought the zine to its golden age. If you keep up on horror, you've seen her breaking the stigmas of what makes a horror fan and what it is to be a woman working in the industry educating the ignorant with her encyclopedic knowledge of the genre. Get fully caught up here with our Women In Horror article on the femme fatale.
I'm not going to lie, we had a stupid grin painted on our faces all day long afterwards. There are people who you admire because of everything they've done and you never know what it will be like to actually meet them. My expectations were high and they exceeded every one of them.
Now, I'm not sure if you're up to date on all our crazy ambitious projects, here's one we're especially excited about - EAT YOUR HEART OUT, our zombie musical which is a collaboration with Kaleena Goldsworthy of the fucking fantastic The Scarlet Ending. The following morning, Kaleena and her sceamo beau, Ted - he screams like an angel - came up for breakfast, catching up, and plans of zombie survival. The musical is set to star the Scarlets and Ted in an epic opera that takes place though zombie apocalypse. Tunes by Kaleena, story by the Twisted Twins and it is coming along bloody brilliantly.
If you haven't heard about The Scarlet Ending before, watch this beautiful video by CJ Wallis that we worked on last year. You'll also be catching them on the AMERICAN MARY soundtrack. These girls and guys have talent and heart that are peered by very few. Fall in love now, because they will be huge. New videos coming soon!
Later that day, we met with the sensational Lianne Spiderbaby. Writer for Fangoria and Fright Bytes and author of the upcoming GRINDHOUSE GIRLS: CINEMA'S HARDEST WORKING WOMEN which highlights the beloved actresses of exploitation and horror. From what I heard, you really want to fucking read it - down and dirty pictures to the extreme. She was just amazing, professional, well versed, and a pleasure to get to chat with. Coming soon with be our talk about HOOKER, MARY, and the state of horror today.
I want to move into this comic book shop/heaven but there's no rest for the wicked, so a quick grope of Iron Man and we were on our way. Had a motherfucking blast and met some people that I know will remain close friends for years to come.
We now get back to all things AMERICAN MARY. It's been almost a year since we shot and revealed the teaser trailer. A first look is scheduled for mid-November and I think this December 11th - our company's anniversary - there will be a trailer worth all the wait. Thank you for the support, thank you to everyone who saw us in Toronto and came over to say hi, you guys are the people who have made our wildest dreams come true and we can never thank you enough. Promise that we will work very hard to keep you entertained with all sorts of cinematic insanity!

Ravenous Monster's Justin Hamelin DHIAT Review and Twisted Twins Interview
"‘Dead Hooker in a Trunk’ is as faithful a nod to the classic grindhouse films as anything the film community has seen since the 1970s. The title alone should make just about any horror or indie fan grin like a madman (or woman). This movie has everything needed to become a timeless cult classic – gore, foul language, beautiful women, guns, awesome special effects and fight scenes, and hello? A DEAD HOOKER…In a trunk! To say this film has some legit street cred in the industry is a gross understatement. It’s what happens when professionals are approached by dedicated filmmakers with an infectious energy." ~Justin Hamelin, RAVENOUS MONSTER

Twists and turns are at every corner and by the time the end credits begin to roll, I am willing to bet you will have a grin from ear to ear on your face, just like I did." ~Justin Hamelin, RAVENOUS MONSTER

DAILY GRINDHOUSE features the TWISTED TWINS all week long!!
"Jen and Sylvia Soska (aka Twisted Twins) are out to start some shit. I have said it before and I’ll say it again: These chicks are 12 miles of bad road and they can make a movie that kicks your teeth in. DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK is easily one of the best films of the year. It is 100% pure exploitation that pulls no punches. The Soska twins work like they have been rocking the camera since they learned to walk. You throw some punky and pulpy dialogue on top of that and you have a fire that is going to burn for a long time.
This week, DG (Daily Grindhouse)is smiling ear-to-fucking-ear because we have Jen & Sylvia as our Featured Filmmakers. In our exclusive interview the Twisted Twins talk about making movies, influences, marketing your flick, and other badass nuggets. Following the Q&A this week will be a full DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK review, a Soska authored TOP 10 SHES SO FUCKING COOL MOMENTS IN FILM, and more. So buckle up and get ready for the twins to drop some film knowledge." ~Daily Grindhouse

And now for a little taste of things to come....
"The only reason why I am here today is because the people in the horror community have made it possible. When I was a little girl, I was at the fish market with my Grandfather. I decided in my little girl way that I was going to use my spending money to buy a fish for my cat. He told me to ask the fisherman myself. I went over, explained that I’d like to purchase a fish for my cat please and thank you. The man smiled and got me a fish – free of charge. I was shocked – that’s not the way the world works. I went to my Grandfather to find out why that would happen and he told me something that I carry on today – ‘If you treat people with kindness and respect, the whole world opens up for you.’" ~Sylvia Soska

IFC Midnight Hooker Trailer Slinks Onto Your Favorite Horror Sites
The story of a group of film nerds banding together, maxing out credit cards to make a feature, isn't something that usually gets the opportunity of a wide release, but because of the people of the horror community that stood by DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK, shared the story and spread the word - the film is going into its world release and has a sexy new trailer cut by the wonderful folks at IFC Midnight.
Here are our friends that are standing strong behind the film and pimping the new trailer. Very good folks - it's an honor to be on these sites. Thank you for the support and making this all possible --

ANYTHING HORROR
"Just got an email from my favorite twisted sisters, Jen and Sylvia Soska, about their debut film DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK. We all know this isn’t a new film. In fact I review it back in July of 2010 (see my review here). But back then it was a relatively unknown film and I wanted to help the Soska sisters change that. I don’t know how much I personally helped*, but today DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK has become a cult classic and is finally getting the recognition it deserves. Not only has it been picked up by IFC Midnight, but it’s currently playing on VOD, it’s having a limited theatrical run in the US, its available on DVD in both Australia and the UK, and the rest of the world will be able to get the DVD early in 2012, with a ton of DVD extras (deleted scenes, outtakes, a behind the scenes featurette, director commentary, and technical commentary)." - Scott Shoyer
*Scott is being a modest gentleman, he has supported the film immeasurably. AnythingHorror.com is always there to support the independents.
