2010 was one HELL of a Year. For DEAD HOOKERS in trunks, especially. We are overjoyed to announce that our debut feature, DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK, has now made the Jaded Viewer's TOP 10 OF 2010 LIST!!

Not only does the man have taste, not only is he an honest, entertaining, and well informed writer, he also happens to be one of the VERY first people to ever review the film.

And that's something not even Mastercard can buy.

That's right. It's getting closer and closer. 2011.

Time to reflect on the past year and remember what made 2010 so wicked awesome. And with that, the TOP LISTS are out, in full force.

We are honored to have DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK make it onto the BLOOD SPRAYERS TOP TEN OF 2010 LIST. Written by the talented and insightful Cortez the Killer, DHIAT is in good company with THE COMMUNE, THE LAST EXORCISM, TRIANGLE, REC 2, THE TAINT, IN MEMORIUM, DAWNING, LAKE MUNGO, and THE DARKNESS WITHIN.

The Blood Sprayer Fuckin' Rocks!!

As proud as we are of our first born demented baby, DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK, it is truly the people who have stood behind it that have taken it from our love letter to the genre to the cult classic, indie phenomenon that is has become. If a tree falls in the woods and no one's around to hear it, does it make a sound? Well, TECHNICALLY, no. According to my 8th grade science teacher, sound cannot exist without a receiver. So in the same vein of thinking, what is the point of making a film without an audience to receive it? For that reason, we will always put our audience first when it comes to our work.

We want to take this opportunity to thank some people who have not only taken a chance on checking out a strange little Canadian oddity titled DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK, but have given us their overwhelming support. They've supported and promoted the (un)holy hell out of Twisted Twins Productions and DHIAT. They've supported Women In Horror recognition month, they've supported our annual Massive Blood Drive, they've even taken the time to recognize the legendary "man behind the curtain", our co-conspirator, our Goody Two Shoes, CJ Wallis.
And these people know their shit. They've seen it all and support indie film like no one else, sifting through the unmentionables and bringing hidden film making gems into the light of day. So, from the bottoms of our twisted little hearts, we want to extend our most humble thanks to THE BLOOD SPRAYER. Thank you, Kristy Jett. Thank you, Zach Shildwachter. Thank you, Wes Allen. Scott Ruth Made Me Cry Today

It has been an incredible year for DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK and as the year comes to an end, we are excited to announce that there will be release news in the new year! I checked my google alerts to find this --



With our HOOKER sitting proudly...



We're the middle piece! As if that wasn't enough of an honor - there was the write up (tears) which I'm not too much of a tough guy to admit, it truly touched me. It was incredibly thoughtful piece that really delved into the movie on the screen and behind the scenes.

"Throughout 2010, we've heard a great deal about the need to show support for independent horror. At times, this was being shouted from the rooftops, in an attempt to rally support for films that, whereas they may have indeed been independent in nature, they're budget and studio connections were a far cry from that of most independent films. I agree, as horror fans, it is paramount that we support independent cinema, and it's films like Dead Hooker In A Trunk that are truly deserving of our support!

Nearly every actor and actress who appeared on screen in this film also served the film in other areas, from camera operators and stunt coordinators to editors and cinematographers. This film is a work of art, and it's a labor of love. Love from fans of horror, and of film in general, who took that love and put it to work, creating a film of their own. And the love and respect that these men and women have for the the genre, as well as for movies as a whole, is very evident throughout the entire film. This is how a movie is supposed to look, sound and feel! There are many filmmakers out there, especially in Hollywood working with billion dollar budgets on films that no true fan of the cinema even cares to see, who could all stand to learn a great deal about the art of filmmaking, and the love that is required when making a movie, from Jen & Sylvia Soska, C.J. Wallis and everyone whose blood, sweat, heart, love and tears went into making Dead Hooker In A Trunk!"
