Horan Som Troligen Onskade Hon Var Död

Twisted Twins Exclusive Interview with Stiff Magazine

STIFF MAGAZINE is a thing of beauty.

That's right, boys and grrls, drink in the awesome.

My friends, STIFF MAGAZINE is wicked awesome. Here's their story...

STIFF MAGAZINE (commonly referred to simply as "StiffMag") is a quarterly horror-themed, alternative culture, modeling and entertainment magazine based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Birthed from the original Graveyard Girls modeling website, and in only its second year of print publication, Stiff Magazine is already internationally distributed throughout 5 continents in both print and digital editions.

Each issue features modeling spreads from their signature Graveyard Girls, features and reviews on films ranging from box-office hits, to underground indie releases, to looks back at retro/classics you may have forgotten about. Each issue also features technology and video game product reviews, music and literary reviews, exclusive interviews and much, much more.

And this quarterly issue has something especially wicked awesome inside...

...an exclusive interview with us Twisted Twins by the outstanding Andrea Albin, a woman truly after our own hearts. And if that's not enough, there's also an exclusive with our favorite badass, Eli Roth. Yes, the man himself and you know you want to hear what he's go tot say. Don't miss out. It is fucking awesome.

You can hit up the official STIFF MAGAZINE SITE right here and you can GET YOURSELF A COPY right here.

A Two Part Piece on the Lovely Katharine Isabelle

You can find a new two part piece on the very lovely and talented, Katharine Isabelle, on the very cool suite101.com courtesy of editor and writer, Hari Navarro, who has a real passion for horror. Navarro has been writing a series called the A-Z of Women in Horror which Katie was featured.

Born Katherine Isobel Murray (November 2, 1981), Katharine Isabelle made an indelible impression on the independent horror circuit when she added the spice to John Fawcett’s millennium year wolf-bites-girl favorite, Ginger Snaps. A widely respected and now much referenced take on what was then horrors somewhat motley werewolf standard, it today continues to surface as one of the very best of its ilk.

Know and love Katharine Isabelle's work and want to reminisce on an impressive career with standout performances? Click here. Not familiar with this phenomenal actress's work? For shame. Click here. Both links lead to the first part of the piece. Click here for part two.

The piece ends speaking about something that I am very excited about, our upcoming film, AMERICAN MARY. And what does the gentleman have to say about this next project?

Katharine Isabelle's latest horror outing is in the yet to be reviewed 2011s release, "American Mary". Isabelle stars in a seedy tale that delves into the world of illicit ‘underground surgery’. Directed by the sister act of Jen and Sylvia Soska, those responsible for the 2009 Canadian horror “Dead Hooker in the Trunk”, it can only be hoped that it is a film that again captures this more than capable actresses edgy snap.

A very cool article by a very cool writer about a very cool actress. Treat yourself to a read and maybe learn about a couple flicks that you may not have heard of before, but are totally rad. Like FALLING ANGELS.

Dead Hooker in Four Rooms

We absolutely love Robert Rodriguez. His work has inspired us so greatly, he taught us how to make a flick on no budget creatively, he is an independent filmmaker God. This is something I used to watch over and over and over. A personal favorite please enjoy.

I think this moment was so hilarious to me like DIRTY WORK and VERY BAD THINGS - love a raunchy dark comedy.

Ryan Gelley likes himself a Dead Hooker In A Trunk

"Twin Canadian filmmakers Jen and Sylvia Soska are the masterminds responsible for Dead Hooker In A Trunk, a free-wheeling, unapologetic exploitation joyride that was one of the funnest films I’ve seen this year."
~Ryan Gelley

Ryan Gelley
is a man who knows what he likes and writes damn well.

We were delighted to have him recently review our recently released DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK. To be honest, I'd love to quote his whole article.

"Dead Hooker is full of the unabashedly explicit language and violence inherent to its genre. Eyes are knocked out of their sockets, arms are severed, brains are blown out. Copious blood is spilled by baseball bats, power drills, chain saws, shaky Mohels, ice-picks and pliers. There is more than enough gore to satisfy the most blood-thirsty splatter-film fan." ~Ryan Gelley

We wanted from the very beginning to accomplish two feats. One, to make a film that was pure enjoyment for our audiences and, two, to then share that film with as many people as possible. With the release of the film quickly approaching and the film already out in Australia and the UK, it makes us so happy to see this dreams realized.

We made DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK for people who want to see a movie called DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK. Ryan Gelley is exactly that person and we're so happy to have our film in his hands.

"Dead Hooker In A Trunk delivers exactly what it advertises. It is a brilliantly dumb, delightfully trashy rebuke of austerity and political correctness. If you are not grinning ear-to-ear by the end of the film, it’s likely you are not a member of Dead Hooker‘s target demographic." ~Ryan Gelley

Okay, now treat yourself to the main course. You can GET THE FULL FILM REVIEW right here. Please enjoy!

The Twisted Twins love Mr. Ramone420's Movies and Stuff Show

You know we ladies love ourselves any folks that know their horror.

For way too long horror has been looked down upon and snubbed as a "sub genre". I could write novels professing the reasons for my profound love of horror. There's that license for creativity that's unparalleled in any other genre. There's that wonderful kind of "oh-shit-I-shouldn't-be-laughing" laughter that horrors muster up in us. There are some of the best roles ever written for women in them and there are some of the best women ever writing and directing them.

Dammit, I love horror.

And what I love even more is meeting someone who shares my love, devotion, and passion for the genre. Mr. Ramone420's Movies and Stuff Show is a show created by a true horror lover for true horror lovers. We were absolutely honored to have him review our demented baby, DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK.

So, while you're waiting to hear about when we will be releasing DHIAT near you, please enjoy this radcore review of the film...

Thank you so much and be sure to subscribe and check out other episodes of Mr. Ramone420's Movies and Stuff Show.
