DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK release tease and Television Premiere

On May 23rd of this year something epic happened.

DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK was unleashed unto the UK and Australia. After a wait that felt like ages, DHIAT became released on DVD with a gore~geous, never before seen cut of the film, a behind the scenes "making of" featurette, bloopers, an exclusive interview with Carlos Gallardo on indie film making, deleted scenes, director and technical commentaries, and a whole shitload more ;)

And now we have yet another huge first and epic occurrence... DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK will be making it's television debut courtesy of the UK HORROR CHANNEL on JULY 29th, at 10:55pm. (TV: Sky 319 / Virgin 149 / Freesat 138)

"The movie was released on DVD here in the UK this past May and sold out pretty much instantly! It is now to receive its UK television premier on The Horror Channel on the 29th July. To add to the geekiness of this premier, it is being introduced by Emily Booth, an amazing horror nerd who was at the Ghouls on Film premier. We have long been waiting to release the news on when and how DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK will be available to the rest of the world and, boys and grrls, I have big news a 'coming.

That's right.

At long last we will FINALLY be announcing the release of DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK. This news is coming very soon and I just want you to all be ready when we get the go ahead. It's coming and I cannot tell you how happy that makes us. From the very beginning it's been a dream of ours to make a film that was just pure enjoyment for our audiences and then to share that film with as many people as possible.

That dream is coming true.

Thank you to everyone who has stood by us and believed in us and this film. It's been an impossible journey and I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the outstanding horror community that has watched our film, spread the word about DEAD HOOKER IN TRUNK faster than the Black Death, and written an article, done a blog, given us an interview, or told a friend about us.

So keep your eyes and ears open.

The world won't ever be the same. DEAD HOOKERS for everyone. It's a beautiful thing.

Bloody Best!
Jen

DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK will be released in the UK May 23rd

Is it true? Could it possibly be happening after all this time? This morning, Sylvia and I released this statement to the world...

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, It is an extreme pleasure to let you know that 'Dead Hooker in a Trunk' will be released May 23rd in the UK - courtesy of Bounty Films! Thank you for all your support that has gotten us to this point. None of this would have been possible without you. More news to follow - soon there will be hookers (dead) for everyone!

Jen and Sylv

A VERY special thanks to Ben Hellwig at Bounty for giving our DEAD HOOKER a home, to all the wonderful folks at Industry Works for not only believing in DHIAT, but also our AMERICAN MARY, and, of course, to ALL the fuckin' outstanding friends and supporters of the film!

Without all of you, we wouldn't be anywhere. You came out to see the film, checked it out, reviewed it, blogged about it, facebooked about it, tweeted it, re-posted links, and told your friends. We are eternally in your debt and promise from the very bottoms of our Twisted Little Hearts that we will spend the rest of our lives repaying you with kick ass films that are provocative, hilarious, disgusting, sexy, sweet, terrifying, and utterly insane. We LOVE the thriving horror community and cannot thank you enough for the way that you have embraced us and our work. It means more to us than we can ever say.

Here is some early excitement on the FANTASTICAL news from...

Scott Ruth at the Examiner~!

Chuck Conry at Zombies DON'T Run~!

Zach Shildwachter at the Blood Sprayer~!

Uncle Creepy at Dread Central~!

Adam M. Williams at Dead Reckless~!

Thank you so indescribably much, my friends! Today is a victory for us all! Today, the UK (where some of the most amazing Hooker supporters roam!) and tomorrow world domination ;)

Our most sincere and blood soaked best,
Your friendly neighborhood Twisted Twins,
Jen and Sylv
