"Vancouver natives, Jen and Sylvia Soska, made their debut film, the provocatively titled Dead Hooker in a Trunk, for very little. The combination of crazy humour and inventive storytelling received plaudits and soon became a festival hit.
The filmmakers are generating serious buzz with American Mary, which will receive its world premiere at Film4 FrightFest later this month in the UK. Are the Soska sisters about to become the ‘Next Big Thing in Horror’? Here are five reasons they just might be."
Martin Conterio of Grolsch Film Works was utterly kind enough to take a look at our twisted twinnie antics, our films, where we came from, and where we're heading next to create this fucking rad list as to why we might just just be the next big thing in horror.
Jen and I would be thrilled, absolutely thrilled to have our work reach a broader audience and to have people get the opportunity to check out the new flick, AMERICAN MARY. If we can be recognizable in the genre as a twin team of horror directors in the company of artists we already so admire, that would be a dream come true.
Here's the rad article. Please enjoy! Thank you for taking the time to see what we're up to on this blog, next few months are chalk full of horror awesome and lots of exciting news for MARY. Cannot wait to share the film with you all.
