Dallas News takes a Blood Bath 2!

It's coming up so soon! 'Dead Hooker in a Trunk' returns to Texas to the North American festival that first showed the original cut -- Blood Bath 2. Now that we've trimmed the fat with a slicker, quicker, more hookery Hooker we can't wait to have her play with the incredible lineup. People are getting excited, as they should. Here's what the media - in the form of DallasNews.com - has to say about it --
"October is over, but thank you Blood Bath folks for understanding that doesn't mean we need to put horror films to bed till next Halloween . Oak Cliff's historic Texas Theatre gets a little gory November 13-14 when Blood Bath 2: The Film Festival puts on two days of "a celebration of independent horror cinema showcasing feature and short films from around the world." The festival is the world premiere for the feature films Kodie, filmed locally in Dallas by Abel Berry and Jennifer Stone, and The Super. It's also the American premiere of feature film Fell.

There's an after party Saturday night at the Muddy Waters (4314 Live Oak St.) with special musical guests Jack O'Hara Harris, The Lash Outs, and The Whiskey Folk Ramblers starting at 10 p.m. Tickets to the fest are $7 per feature-length film, $15 per day, or $25 for the weekend."

You know, that's right. What about the fine features that are playing at the festival? The article goes on to give you a good outline of the other films, one that I have been dying to see is 'Kodie', but what is it about? Well, what DallasNews.com has to say, gentle reader, is --

"KODIE tells the story of David, a paranormal investigator, who has come to a point in his life where everything he cares about is being ripped away in domestic turmoil. He soon finds himself and his team caught in a world of a murderous little girl named Kodie in the form of a teddy bear. Many of the cast and crew will be in attendance for a Q&A following the film."

Say whaaaaaaaaaat? Yes. Yes, yes, and YES. It will be all forms of rad. I've heard a lot of good things about this one and there's some sweet hooker love in the article too stating that also playing, the film by --
"Canadian twins Jen and Sylvia Soska's DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK, which has become an underground cult fan favorite while winning many awards at festivals all around the world"

Huge thanks to DOA Blood Bath Entertainment and Andrew Rose for their constant support from the get go, their beautiful hard work to create a great festival for folks that love the red stuff, and for being such dear friends to a pair of twisted twins. Thank you so kindly! Looking forward to this one. Big time.
